In spring 2022, fourteen local high school students successfully presented their problems before a panel of judges to earn the opportunity to represent the state of South Carolina in a national competition. Unfortunately, they would not be able to attend due to lack of funding and support. It was then that parents and community members collaborated to form the WJK Cluster STEAM Booster Club to ensure that these ambitious students and others like them would have the resources available to pursue opportunities that would arm them with valuable life experiences related to their career interests and goals.
